2010 Panini Threads #12

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought Online
This card has a lot of empty space and I feel my gaze being drawn to it, which is a shame because it's a solid card. The re-use of the same photo on the back seems a bit lazy and the exclusion of any stats is always a negative for me. Not one of my favorite Bo cards, but also not one of the worst.

2011 Upper Deck #CO-3

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought Online
This card came in a lot of Bo cards that I bought off ebay. I really do like the looks of the front of the card. It is unique in it's style and font, but the back takes this one down a notch. The back photo of Bo had been used multiple times by Upper Deck, there are no stats and the graphics just don't pop. I am usually a sucker for any card of Bo in his Auburn uniform, but this one is low on my like list.

2011 Press Pass Legends #PP-1

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought Online
I loved this card when I first saw it online. Two Auburn greats on one card? Yes, please! I was enthralled by the electrifying play of Cam Newton early in his career. Unfortunately that level of play did not last very long. He is still an NFL quarterback, but I don't believe he will ever reach those highs he had early in his career. I still dig this card due to the collegiate ties and no one can deny the type of player both of these amazing athletes were back when they were in school.

2016 Topps Berger's Best #BB-36

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought at Card Shop
Here is another pickup from my family's trip to South Dakota. I saw this in a box of random Royals cards at a downtown card shop and assumed it was another 1987 Topps Bo "Future Stars" card, but when I flipped it over I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was yet another reprint in a recent Topps baseball set. This is a card that I had never seen before. I paid my $1 and now it is a nice addition to my Bo Jackson card collection.

2017 Topps Archives #52

Type: Numbered Paralell
Acquired: Bought at Card Shop
A few weeks back, myself and my wife took our kids on a week long vacation to South Dakota. We saw so many great and historical things while we were there like Mount Rushmore, Cosmos Mystery Spot and Dinosaur Park. Those places were cool, but of course I had to see if there was a card shop near by. There was and I brought the family. I dug through some boxes and searched a few binders and uncovered a few Bo cards that were not currently in my collection. One of these cards was this 2017 Topps Archive card numbered 36 out of 75! Nice card had for a decent price.

2011 Upper Deck Football Dream Tandems #DT-9

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought Online
Not sure exactly why Upper Deck decided to pair Bo Jackson and Doug Flutie on this card. I guess by reading the back of the card it's because Bo followed Flutie in winning the Heisman and by garnering All-America honors. Still I would have loved to see some of the epic rushing talents from 1985 represented here like Barry Word, Thurman Thomas or even Napoleon McCallum. Those guys were great collegiate running backs during that season. Overall this is a pretty bland card. The reuse the same photos on the front and back and the green turf background doesn't do much for me, but since Bo is on it this belongs in my collection.

2011 Upper Deck Football #12

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought Online
Another great looking Bo card from Upper Deck's collegiate football line. This card was released in 2011 and it just looks gorgeous. I like how clean the photo is on the front from Bo's days at Auburn University. Usually these older photos have a graininess to them, but Upper Deck put in work and made this card look clean and fresh. The back is nice too and features Auburn's team colors along with some great stats.

2011 Upper Deck Football Saturday In Action #SIA-5

Type: Insert Set
Acquired: Bought Online
Football season has begun and I think it is time we took a look at some Bo cards from his time on the gridiron. It was a short time, but man was it spectacular. This 2011 Upper Deck card highlights Bo in his college days at Auburn University where he won the Heisman trophy in 1985. To me this card is pretty bland. I have seen UD use this photo numerous times over the years and there really is no graphic treatment on the front. The back features the same photo as the front and gives a very concise description of Bo's sports career at AU. One cool thing is that they added some info about his track career.

2010 Topps The Cards Your Mom Threw Out #CMT-36

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Bought Online
I have gushed about my love for Bo Jackson's 1987 Topps Future Stars card and when I first saw this card for sale online I was a little confused. After reading up a bit on this insert set from the 2010 Topps set, I thought this was a cool way to re-present these cards to a new generation! These cards came in two variations. One had the original backs from the cards and the second had a new back with info on some of Bo's earliest Topps baseball appearances.

2011 UD Goodwin Champions #M-BJ

Type: Memorabilia Card
Acquired: Purchased Online
I have been a fan of the Upper Deck Goodwin Champions cards sets for a while now. I love the old timey look and feel of the graphics and design. The only problem I have with this series of cards is that the paintings of the athletes are hit or miss. Some look strikingly like the athlete while others seem a little off. This Bo card seems a little off to me. It's not a terrible representation of Mr. Jackson, just not the best I've seen. Oh well, at least it comes with a piece of game worn Raiders jersey!
