1994 Pacific #128

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought at a Show
In my opinion, this is one of the best looking Bo Jackson cards ever! The front has a beautiful photo on it that is not obstructed by the company logo or player name. The name itself is in an eye pleasing font over a team color coordinated background and the photo of Bo doing his high kick is excellent. The back has a great in field photo of Bo and has his last season & career stats.  As usual, I would have appreciated more stats, but this time I will forgive Pacific due to the fantastic quality of the large photo.

1991 Donruss #BC-10

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Traded with Friend
This early 90s Donruss card highlights Bo Jackson's tremendous feat of smashing 4 consecutive home runs. It's nice when you see a player's feats of excellence celebrated in card form and this one makes me exceptionally happy due to the fact that it features my hero Bo Jackson. These "Highlights" cards were randomly inserted into packs and it was a big thrill to pull one. This was at the beginning of the early 90s insert card craze and I thought they were pretty cool. The photo on the front is great and features Bo smashing one of his 4 consecutive home runs. The back on the other hand is bland, but tells the history of this milestone. They could have at least added a little splash of color. I expect better from you early 90s Donruss!

1987 Sportflics #190

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought at a Show
Sportflics need to make a comeback. These things were amazing to me as a kid. You got so much on one card. A head shot and an action shot that can be changed with the flick of a wrist...yes please! I like the shot of young Bo they chose for this card and the action shot is standard Bo, but it has that bit of action to it when you use the magic motion feature. The backs are nice too. I really like the layout with the small photo at the top next to the name. It leaves plenty of space for Bo's early stats.

1992 Score #361

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Traded with Friend
This was another one of those early Bo Jackson/White Sox cards. After the gruesome injury that took Bo away from the gridiron and the release from the Royals, it was amazing to see Bo back on the field swinging away for our sports pleasure. I really like the colors of this card. I feel the purple helps the black and gray of the Sox uniform stand out. The back photo is also a nice touch. The shot of Bo giving a sly smile will always be one of my favorites.
