1993 Pinnacle #524

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Purchased at Show
Pinnacle was a fantastic brand put out by the Score brand. This was their premium card and it definitely felt that way with the thicker card stock, glossy coating and foil stamped logo on the front. Not only was it nicely designed, but the photos were nice too. Look at that shot of Bo watching as he smacks the cover off another poor victim. The backs also featured a shot not unlike what the Leaf Studio cards featured on their cards. The stats are lacking, but at least they give current and career numbers. Overall a very good looking card from a solid set.

1993 Leaf Studio #110

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Traded For
I really like the simple & classy design Leaf typically used for their Studio line of premium cards. The photos are nice, the backgrounds are clean and the foil signature on the front is always a nice touch. The one thing you will probably never see from this series is actual player statistics. If you are a numbers guy, this set is not for you. If you want to know that Bo's pet peeve is racism this set is a must have!

1989 Donruss #208

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Pulled From Pack
Now here is a real oddity for a Bo Jackson card! Is that Bo getting ready to bunt? That never happens! Bo is always posed ready to the strike the ball with all his might! I would love to know what game this image was from and if Bo did indeed lay down an action packed bunt? Anyway, the design of this card is nice. I like the composition of the picture and the colorful graphics on the border. The back is typical Donruss. Lots of stats, but not much else.

1991 Score #420

Type: Subset
Acquired: Pulled From Pack
This card highlights Bo's achievement of knocking four consecutive home runs during the 1990 season. What is impressive is that he hit 3 HRs in one game against the Yankees, then due to injury, 40 days later he nailed another one 450 feet from the plate for his 4th in a row! Truly an awesome feat for a legendary player.
