1994 Score #RT3

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought Online
WHOA! Holy brain overload! This card from Score's 1994 Rookies & Traded set has a lot going on style wise. The colors are bold and bright, the logos are prominent on their own rock like color swatches and the photo is big, action packed and colorful! The back gives the same sort of energy with it's nice blue coloring and 2 pictures of Bo in the field and in a glamour shot. This was from Bo's last year in the league when he joined the California Angels and was far from his best statistical year, but there is something to be said about his longevity in the league after getting his hip replaced. He was a beast at the plate and a legend in the field. Oh, by the way did I mention that I really like this card?

1991 Donruss #632

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Pulled From a Pack
This card set from 1991 brings back a lot of memories for me. It reminds me of lazy summer days and trading cards with my friends. As you can probably tell, I have a soft spot for this design. I like the green on the front that borders a nice picture of Bo Jackson in action. The mint green coloring of the back was like nothing I had ever seen before and the complete stats are definitely appreciated. I've got nothing else to say about this card except it is one of my favorites.

1989 Fleer #285

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Pulled From a Pack
I know a lot of people don't care for this 1989 Fleer design, but I actually like it. Yeah, the color scheme is kind of bland but the way they overlapped the action shot on the front of the card over the industrial looking background really looks cool to me. I also like that the shot is of Bo running to first after smacking the ball. The backs may seem plain also, but I like the contrast of the bright yellow to the light gray. Also, the breakdown of stats from before to after the All-star break is a very nice touch for those of us who like stats.

1988 Sportflics #148

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Pulled From a Pack
This card holds a special place in my collection as it was one of the first Bo cards I ever pulled from a pack. This and the 1987 Topps Future Star cards will always be special to me. Also, this is a nice looking card and the fact that it has the magic motion action doesn't hurt things at all. Additionally, the photo on the back really helps this card stand out. It's not often cards feature a shot of Bo running the bases.
