2006 Fleer Greats of the Game #10

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought Online
I am always a fan to see new Bo Jackson cards coming out, but this one kind of underwhelmed me. The design on the front is bland, the photo is nothing that we have never seen before, but the back of the card is actually very nice. I like the font and the complete MLB career stats. It's just, if you are going to put more cards out into the public at least try to make it stand out from the crowd. This card does not do that for me.

1987 Leaf #35

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought At Show
A Bo "Rated Rookie" card from Donruss...wait that isn't Donruss? It's some cheap knockoff by a company called Leaf! What's going on here? Those were my thoughts after I bought this card when I was still a young collector. Now I know these Leaf cards are not bootlegs, but the Canadian equivalent of our American Donruss cards. I actually, really like this design. The backs offer no extra photos, as was the style at the time, but it offers up a lot of stats and info on Mr. Jackson in English and in French! I always thought getting a card with the "Rated Rookie" stamp on it was a big deal and I'm glad Donruss has brought back this element in recent years.

1995 Pacific Collection #61

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Purchased Online
This could quite possibly be my favorite Bo Jackson Angels baseball card. The design on the front is minimal, but still does the job. The back of the card is very eye pleasing also with career stats a nice design and crisp photos. Pacific may not be a juggernaut in the world of sports cards, but this series shines with it's nice photography and just a touch of foil stamping.

1990 Donruss MVP #BC-1

Type: Insert Card
Acquired: Trade With A Friend
First off let me say that I do like the design of these early 90s Donruss cards. Now let me say, this is one of my least favorite Bo Jackson cards in my collection! I get that they were looking for a sort of portrait look for these cards, but the picture they chose makes Bo look like he's already a few bottles in before the game. Either that or he was not into having his picture taken during this particular game. Good set...bad card!
