2005 Topps Fan Favorites #FFR-BJ

Type: Memorabilia Card
Acquired: Bought Online
I am a sucker for any type of memorabilia cards. I know they have been declining in popularity over the years, but I still looks for these cards for a decent price. Usually I am able to find a plethora of jersey cards online, but this card really caught my eye. It contains a piece of bat that Bo Jackson actually used during one of his MLB games! I imagine the bat that this sliver came from was used to smash a mammoth home run over the fences in Kansas City! Not only is this a unique piece of Bo history, but the card is also really great looking. From the bold colors to the photo choice this is one of my fave Bo Jackson cards in my collection.

1990 Score ScoreMasters #1

Type: Limited Set
Acquired: Bought at Show
I really dig the artwork on this card. Sometimes when you get artistic interpretations of iconic sports heroes on cards, it looks nothing like the player. This one hits a home run with Mr. Jackson's likeness. It almost looks like the artist took a photograph of Bo and then added in his painting embellishments to this ScoreMasters card. Glad to have it in my collection.

1989 Classic #122

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Trade With Friend
I always liked the different approach Classic took with their card photography. They always went a little bit different than what was the norm. Most cards would have a pre-posed Bo looking at the camera or a shot of him at the plate waiting for the ball to be thrown. This card though, has a shot of Bo just milliseconds away from knocking the snot out of a fastball. You can even see the ball blurring by in the card! Great action shot on the front and typical Classic card back with stats and trivia questions. Who knew a batter could be called out even if the 3rd strike hit him?

1988 DONRUSS #220

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Pulled From Pack
I really like this design. The blacks and blues with a touch of red compliment the colors of Bo's Royals uniform. Also, it's a pretty sweet pose DONRUSS captured on the card front. As usual DONRUSS gives us some great complete stats of Bo along with some neat factoids. Did you know on 4/14/87 Bo went 4-for-4 with a 3 run home run and a grand slam against the Tigers!

1994 Leaf Studio #12

Type: Base Card
Acquired: Bought Online
In my opinion this is one of the best Bo Jackson Angels cards out there. The photography on the front is crisp the locker room background doesn't seem out of place. The colors Leaf chose for the card really pop and the stats are adequate. Yes, it could have used more stats and I would have preferred the photo on the back be an action shot, but overall this is a very nice card that highlights the final season of Bo Jackson's career in the Major Leagues.
