2004 Donruss Playoff Honors #PS-36

This card was limited to a print run of 2,500 produced. I like the design of the front of the card, but I feel like there is a lot of wasted space towards the bottom. The back gives some facts, but absolutely no stats. This could have been a very nice card. it holds no sentimental value to me, but it does include my all-time favorite athlete and the price was fair so I had to add it to my collection.

Here we have another Bo "Relic" card, but this one is super cool to me. Why? Because it contains a piece of fabric from Bo Jackson's White Sox jersey complete with a pinstripe! This may not seem cool to other collectors, but I love it! It's so much better than just a solid colored swatch. Don't you think? Also, look at that photo on the front with Bo sporting those shades like the baddest man on the planet. Great pose, great shot and limited to a total of 100 cards. SOLD!

1987 Donruss The Rookies #14

Here we have a young Bo Jackson ready to take the world by storm. Just look at the determination and drive in those eyes. Just by looking at this card you could tell big things were on the horizon for this upcoming MLB prospect. I like the look of this classic 87 Donruss design, especially in the green color featured in this "The Rookies" set. The back has a nice amount of stats and info which makes this one of the top Bo Jackson rookie cards in my collection!

2011 Upper Deck Football Dream Tandems #DT-9

Not sure exactly why Upper Deck decided to pair Bo Jackson and Doug Flutie on this card. I guess by reading the back of the card it's because Bo followed Flutie in winning the Heisman and by garnering All-America honors. Still I would have loved to see some of the epic rushing talents from 1985 represented here like Barry Word, Thurman Thomas or even Napoleon McCallum. Those guys were great collegiate running backs during that season. Overall this is a pretty bland card. The reuse the same photos on the front and back and the green turf background doesn't do much for me, but since Bo is on it this belongs in my collection.

1990 Donruss #61

Donruss had some of the most unique designs on baseball cards during the 90s and boy does this one follow that trend. The red border is nice enough, but then you throw in those color splatters and the script type font and you've got yourself a card that would only be legal to produce in 1990. The one great thing about this series is that it is instantly recognizable by any card collector and the bright colors really help it standout in a pile. The photography is nice and the back is your standard Donruss stats and facts which is also a welcome addition.

2011 Upper Deck Football #12

Another great looking Bo card from Upper Deck's collegiate football line. This card was released in 2011 and it just looks gorgeous. I like how clean the photo is on the front from Bo's days at Auburn University. Usually these older photos have a graininess to them, but Upper Deck put in work and made this card look clean and fresh. The back is nice too and features Auburn's team colors along with some great stats.

1994 Pinnacle #509

This card represents Bo Jackson's last year in Major League Baseball. In his final year Bo played in 75 games for the California Angels and batted .279 while driving in 43 runs on 13 dingers. This was a bittersweet ending for Bo as the season was cut short by 1994-95 baseball strike. At the age of 32 Bo officially retired and this card shows a glimpse of the greatness that he brought to the plate. It was always a special moment when Bo stepped to the plate. You never knew if it was gonna be a smashed ball to left or a 700 foot fly ball. I wonder where this pitcher's offering went in the picture shown on this Pinnacle card?
